Staking rewards are taxed based on the DKK value at the time of receipt and again on the difference between the DKK value at the time they are sold and when they were received. You can read more about it here [link to tax rules/staking rewards].

Do you have a deposit in your transaction list that is actually a staking reward?

If you mark it as a staking reward, the correct tax calculation will be applied to it (as described above).

1. You mark a deposit as a staking reward by:
Clicking on the “label” icon to the right in the transaction line.

2. A list of transaction types will open, and here you select “staking reward”.

3. The change of the transaction to a staking reward will now be registered as a change to your report.

4. When you are done making changes to your transactions, click “update report”.

5. Once your report has been recalculated, you can see the result of having marked the transaction as a staking reward in the total calculation at the top left.

What about transactions where crypto is moved into or out of a staking contract?

If you have deposits and/or withdrawals listed in your transaction overview that are actually transactions into or out of a staking contract, you can also mark them so they are correctly reflected in your annual report.

For a transaction where you move tokens into a staking contract, it is done by:

1. Finding the withdrawal transaction where a token is moved from your wallet into a staking contract.

2. Clicking on the “label” icon to the right in the transaction line.

3. A list of transaction types will open and here you select “add to staking”.

4. The change of the transaction to staking will now be registered as a change to your report.

5. When you are done making changes to your transactions, click “update report”.

For a transaction where you receive tokens back from a staking contract, it is done by:

1. Finding the deposit transaction where a token is moved from the staking contract back to your wallet.

2. Clicking on the “label” icon to the right in the transaction line.

3. A list of transaction types will open, and here you select “out from staking”.

4. The change of the transaction to staking will now be registered as a change to your report.

5. When you are done making changes to your transactions, click “update report”.

Now you can pair the two transactions where tokens are moved into and out of a staking contract, respectively. This is done by:

1. Finding the withdrawal transaction where a token is moved from your wallet into a staking contract (“add to staking” transaction).

2. Clicking on the “link transaction” icon.

3. Then you select the corresponding deposit transaction, where you receive tokens back (“out from staking” transaction).

4. The change of the transaction to staking will now be registered as a change to your report.

5. When you are done making changes to your transactions, click “update report”.
